Children's Program Instructor

Little Red Hen is hiring Instructors for our year round socialization and play therapy programs for children with autism ranging in age from 4-12 years old. Applicants for this instructor position must have a desire to work with children in a dynamic and challenging environment.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate affect, has patience, and is able to give as well as receive instructions.

Shifts are available Monday-Thursdays from 2-7pm and Saturdays from 9-3pm. You must be available for the entire duration of the scheduled shift.

Experience with adults and children with developmental disabilities a plus.

Qualifications:

-Must be 18 or older

-High School Diploma or GED required

- Professionalism

- Criminal Record Clearance and willingness to obtain it.

- Experience with children

- Demonstrated ability to provide training and intervention.

- General child development and play skill knowledge.

- Ability to multitask in busy, changing environment.

- Excellent personal and teaching skills.

- Experience with autism or currently learning about autism spectrum disorders.

-Candidates must have great communication skills and be motivated.

-Job requires a lot of physical activity and must be able to lift at least 50lbs, stand for 5 hours, get up and down off the ground multiple times per shift and move quickly.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
