Assembly Technician
Position Summary
Nanotech is looking for a reliable assembly cell production technician to join our team. A assembly cell production technician is responsible for operating the standard procedures of lithium-ion battery production with computerized manufacturing equipment. The operator will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that the production process is running smoothly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating processing and packaging equipment, performing routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipment, running the manufacturing batch by controlling and monitoring the production equipment, communicating with manager and lead to ensure correct process and safety procedures are always maintained. This position requires working with chemicals and the candidate needs to be able to maintain compliance with various safety regulations, such as wearing proper PPE. The successful candidate is a self-starter and can thrive in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Operate processing and testing equipment.
- Safely handle volatile chemicals with proper PPE.
- Perform routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipment.
- Run precision equipment with guidance from the lead operator.
- Communicate with other operators to ensure quality and adherence to the cell design specifications.
- Perform precision measurements with tools such as calipers, micrometers, force gauge, scale, insulation tester, etc.
- Assemble components and products according to instructions and drawings.
- Receive job tasks and builds based on information from R&D Team.
- Verify battery is complete and has no shortages.
- Fine motor skills required for small cells.
- Perform quality checks on components and products to ensure accuracy.
- Understands and contributes to the EHS policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of experience in battery production or related field.
- Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, preferably.
- Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to operate computerized manufacturing equipment.
- Great attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills
