Nonprofit Music Organization Intern

Learn what it takes to run a successful nonprofit music organization and work with a team of smart, dedicated, and passionate music lovers! The intern will assist the Executive Director and Administrative Coordinator with the day-to-day administrative operations of the organization and marketing, including:

  • assisting with database management;
  • creation of season tickets and subscriptions through the ticketing platform;
  • assisting in the creation of a marketing plan, calendar, and materials for promoting the season;
  • attending board and board committee meetings in order to gain a comprehensive understanding of, and develop hands-on skills in, nonprofit arts managementThe intern will work primarily remotely, approximately 15-20 hours per week from June 2024 through February 2025.
     

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a college student or a recent graduate (2022) and either study or reside in LA County. Additional preferred qualifications include: strong organizational skills; effective and inclusive writing and communication skills to connect with the diverse stakeholders of VOX Femina (donors, singers, and collaborators); the ability to learn quickly, handle multiple tasks, take initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision; familiarity with standard computer software programs, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (familiarity with design software is a plus but not required); working knowledge of the latest social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube; knowledge of website design platform WIX is helpful, but not required; familiarity with choral music and/or the performing arts is helpful, but not required.
