PROGRAM TECHNICIAN POSITION AVAILABLE

 

 

 

 

                    The Glenn County Farm Service Agency is accepting applications for a temporary full-time Program Technician position beginning at grade CO-04  (16.95/hr.) or CO-5 ($18.96/hr.), as applicable. Depending on the duration of the temporary appointment, health benefits may be offered. An agricultural background and general computer knowledge are not required, but helpful. This appointment will start out as a temporary appointment, however in the future there may be opportunities for advancement and permanent positions throughout the agency.

                Farm Service Agency Program Technicians are responsible for accomplishing a variety of administrative tasks related to agriculture. FSA is an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Program technicians typically work in FSA offices, which administer farm loans, programs, and assistance to help farms operate. Program technicians have skills in interpersonal communication, organization, computer software and other clerical skill. They are knowledgeable about their office’s specific guidelines and procedures. Sometimes, program technicians must deal with issues like crop disasters and other situations, making it important that they are experienced in problem solving.
