Industrial Engineer Fall 2024 Co-op - Canton, MS


Job Description

We’re currently looking for an Industrial Engineer Fall Co-op to join our team in Canton, MS and will be a full-time role.

During the course of your 12 month co-op, you will have the chance to:

 

Work autonomously with guidance of an experienced Industrial Engineering mentor in following areas:

Develop and maintain labor standards.

Cycle time analysis of manufacturing, material handling, and equipment.

Root-cause analysis.

Propose, develop, and implement process improvements.

Create summary reports and present to management.

 

What knowledge, skills and abilities will you gain from this experience?

Interaction with multiple functions of business including: Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and others.

Enhanced technical and analytical skills.

Cross-functional interaction.

Opportunities to apply communication and presentation skills with management.

Hands on experience applying engineering tools.

Improved understanding of Industrial Engineer’s role and impact to a business.

 

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology or a related field.

Junior or higher

GPA of 3.0 or above.

Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail.

Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets.

Strong communication skills both written and oral.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
