Special Events & Marketing Internship

This position works closely with the Development Department and Administrative team in the successful execution of development, marketing and coordinating of special event projects. Projects and events related to this position include, but are not limited to, our annual Valentine’s Gala and Paradise Cook Off, marketing outreach, community event support and other Club-wide special events and projects. Must be cooperative, friendly and create a safe and harmonious environment. Abide by and support the Club mission to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens. 

Major Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Assist with the coordination of BGCNV special events.

A. Coordinate mailers (e.g. invites, save the date, donor thank you letters);

B. Serve as an event lead for special event volunteer groups and support staff;

C. Participate as a member of a committee;

D. Attend ve ndo mr eetings;

E. Assist with procurement of silent and live auction and raffle items.

2. Assist in establishing and achieving goals for development projects and events.

A. Assist in establishing timelines and tasks;

B. Assist in the logistics involved in the planning and the successful execution of development projects;

C. Work with appropriate staff, board and community volunteers as needed;

D. Submit regular progress reports as requested.

3. Assist with Marketing and Public Relations projects.

A. Create press releases and PSA’s for community radio, newspapers, etc;

B. Create flyers for community outreach and events;

C. Capture program highlights, take pictures and write stories for BGCNV website and Facebook;

D. Assist with business collaborations and partnerships;

E. Assist with database entry to capture data and results of various projects.
