What You’ll Do
You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.
- Apply your knowledge of programming methods, electrical design and engineering problem solving to 21st century manufacturing practices
- Design, program, and troubleshoot packaging machinery and line control systems
- Travel to top clients across the country to assist in the design of manufacturing processes, help manage projects, and develop facilities
- Impact the world by conducting yourself with integrity in pursuit of individual and business goals
- Become a passionate and successful business family member while expanding your technical abilities
- Create user applications to monitor and control the production of consumer goods and satisfy regulatory agencies in compliance with modern industry standards
- Design control systems that provide instantaneous feedback on the production life cycle
- Design electrical control panels
- Design industrial controller (PLC) programs and develop human machine interfaces (HMIs)
- Support Barry-Wehmiller Design Group project teams
- Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
What You’ll Bring
- The ability to simultaneously organize and execute multiple project responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with management, clients, and vendors
- Co-op or project experience with electrical engineering and PLC automation applications (preferred)
- Co-op or project experience with pharmaceutical, consumer products, and high-speed environments (preferred)
- A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
- A bachelor of science in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or an equivalent technical degree
