Paid, Part-Time, Fully Remote Six Month Internship

The Task At Hand:
As the Operations Engineering Intern at Once Upon A Farm, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading children's nutrition brand, focused on driving systemic improvement in childhood nutrition for a healthier, happier, and more equitable world. This internship reports to the Senior Manager, Co-Packer and Engineering, will assist with the day-to-day work on projects ranging from cooler deployments in retailers to full-scale production lines and facilities, and is a fully remote role.
Duration: This is a part-time internship requiring up to 30 hours per week and ends February 2024 (or six months from the date of hire).
In This Role, You Will:
• Be updating and creating project plans
• Be responsible for taking notes during meetings
• Researching potential equipment manufacturers
• Execute cooler orders once approved
• Updating cooler information – Price, model availability, lead times, etc.
In This Role, You’ll Bring With You:
• Senior or recent grad in the field of mechanical engineering preferred
• No BA? No problem. An equivalent number of years of experience in the field(s) of production engineering, industrial maintenance, or project management experience in manufacturing will also meet this qualification
• Passion for engineering and machines
• Prior experience with project management tools preferred (Microsoft, Trello, Asana, Monday, or other)
• Detail-oriented and able to take organized notes
• Desire to learn project management
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter
• Genuinely passionate about improving childhood nutrition for a healthier and happier planet
• Desire to contribute to a dynamic high-growth, purpose-driven work environment
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy, and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment
• Previous exposure to cross-functional work between Sustainability and Operations preferred
• Must reside in the United States to be considered for this position

Compensation:
• Non-Exempt, Hourly, Part-Time
• $22.00 per hour
