Museum Operations Manager

Chico History Museum seeks a dynamic and responsible person with an interest in the history of the Chico area. The Museum Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the Chico History Museum, a local non-profit organization with a mission to acquire, conserve, research, and communicate the rich history of Chico for the education and enjoyment of the community. The successful candidate will represent the Museum to its visitors, patrons, and community partners; foster relationships with guests, members, donors, contributors, and volunteers. The Museum Operations Manager will advocate for Chico History Museum’s interest in the community and seek opportunities to support its vibrancy. The Museum Operations Manager will strengthen educational programs to reach children and adults in Chico, its surrounding communities, and beyond. The Museum Operations Manager will maintain the historic facility and perform other administrative tasks as assigned. The position is part-time work-hours an average of 25 hours a week, during Museum hours, Thursdays to Sundays, under the supervision of the Board of Directors.
