A/V Equipment and Technology Specialist

Job Title: A/V Equipment Specialist

Looking for a technically savvy student who has an interest in managing and operating audio/visual equipment. No experience necessary and training will be provided onsite. All you need is a desire to be a fart of the media industry! If possible, use of Apple computers, and knowledge of Microsoft programs and the Google suite is a good start. Job Duties:
Ensure that A/V equipment is in good condition and is properly maintained. Replace or repair worn parts; Evaluate replacement alternatives. Perform equipment and system set up (including necessary interconnections) and performance monitoring. Maintain, and repair media/video production equipment systems and provide technical set-up guides for all equipment. Maintain technical shop facilities, inventory, repair logs and/or work order systems. Diagnose equipment and/or system malfunctions and perform corrective action. Perform tests and coordinate repairs and maintenance through vendor resources.
Report lost or stolen Items to supervisor and create accountability for students. Work with EHS to recycle damaged or broken equipment properly. Plan, estimate, and order equipment and materials necessary. Document and/or log annual equipment usage and report to supervisors. Maintain licensing agreements, serial numbers, and operations manuals.
Coordinate with faculty on purchases and future proofing equipment. Work with faculty and students on scheduling in class Check-in/Checkout presentation procedures. Manage equipment budgets. Retrofit system/equipment.
Help Maintain interworking of an internet radio station equipment operations. Work with radio station management to ensure all station equipment is working properly. Keep inventory of all radio station equipment
