Position Summary
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), HQ National Wildlife Refuge System, Division of Budget, Performance, and Workforce seeks one Digital Media Intern to work 20 hours per week in a paid internship position for a duration of 52 weeks. The intern will work in a remote capacity. Upon successful completion of this internship the selected partner-hire could become eligible to apply for future federal positions under the Public Lands Corps Act non-competitive hiring authority.

Duties
  • Develop graphics and infographics promoting projects funded under the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Youth Corps Program, CARES Act, and Climate Conservation Corps.  
  • Create digital media and outreach tools to support Public Lands Corps Act partner development.
  • Develop NWRS internal SharePoint, Power BI, and Power aps content to support the Division of Budget, Performance and Workforce. 
  • Work with NWRS staff to develop content in support of the mission of the Division of Budget, Performance, and Workforce. The NWRS Division of Budget, Performance & Workforce provides four primary functions for the Refuge System: (1) formulating budgets, (2) executing budgets, (3) performance management, and (4) workforce planning.

Desired Skills
  • Knowledge and ability to develop digital media content on a variety of platforms. 
  • Knowledge and ability to develop SharePoint Online content, Power aps, and Power BI. 
  • Knowledge and ability to develop content from a variety of application sources

Compensation amounts
  • $300 - weekly living allowance ($15 per hour at 20 hours per week)
  • $3,000 - duty related travel and other (for potential week-long trip to D.C. for orientation and for work related equipment)

* Please not that housing will not be provided as a part of this internship.
