COMPENSATION: $25.49 - $29.69 per hour

RESIDENCY: Candidate must be a California resident. Chico State Enterprises is not a sponsoring agency for staff and management positions (i.e., H-1B Visas).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer manager, the employee is responsible for:
- Providing primary support and supervision for AmeriCorps Seniors Corps volunteers, including recruitment, background checks, training, technical assistance, and placement.
- Referring and supporting clients served by volunteers; conducting home safety checks, completing intake, and connecting clients to additional services.
- Providing technical assistance to staff and volunteers.
- Developing quarterly in-service training for volunteers and maintaining AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer resources and requirements.
- Assisting with annual volunteer recognition events.
- Maintaining a caseload of volunteers and clients with more complex needs.
- Managing the Salesforce database for client and volunteer information.
- Providing necessary statistics for bi-annual reports.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:
- Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Gerontology, Social Services, Psychology, Health and Human Services, or a related field.
- Substantial experience working with community volunteers, including recruitment, training, and supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong understanding of the aging population and social services.
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. Chico State Enterprises will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current Chico State Enterprises employee who was conditionally offered the position.
- Candidate must be in possession of valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance. Participation in the DMV Employer Pull Notice Program (driving record) is required. The candidate will be required to update their insurance with Chico State Enterprises Human Resources when necessary.
