Community Outreach Coordinator

Position Summary

The Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator Assistant Intern supports the Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator in daily administrative tasks, volunteer engagement, and fundraising events. This role provides hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, community engagement, event planning, and volunteer management while contributing to meaningful community impact.

Requirements: 

  1. 18 years or older
  2. Have transportation
  3. Background check
  4. Complete volunteer packet
  5. Online training courses (must be completed in your first 20 hours of internship)
  6. Must be able to work 3 or more hours in a row, semester long commitment
  7. Good communication skills

Expected Responsibilities: 

  1. Provide administrative and clerical support, including organizing files, preparing materials, and assisting with routine office tasks
  2. Assist with volunteer coordination by supporting scheduling, onboarding processes, communications, and maintaining volunteer records
  3. Enter, update, and manage data related to volunteers, events, and outreach activities with accuracy and confidentiality
  4. Support community outreach efforts by assisting with communications, partnerships, and outreach materials
  5. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising, outreach, and volunteer events, including event setup and follow-up
  6. Help track participation, volunteer hours, and event outcomes, and assist with basic reporting
  7. Support daily operations and special projects as assigned
